Delete your GymPilot account
You are always in control of your GymPilot account and personal data. You can delete your account at any time, and you do not need to give a reason. The fastest way is in the app, under Profile → Delete Account. If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, our support team will do it for you.

How to delete your account
There are two ways, and both delete the same thing. Deleting in the app is immediate and is the one to use if you can still sign in. Emailing our support team is there for anyone who cannot.
In the GymPilot app
Available now in every current version of GymPilot. Nothing is queued and no one has to action it - the app deletes the account itself.
Open Profile → Delete Account
Tap Profile in the bottom navigation, then Delete Account under Account.
Read what will be removed, then type DELETE
The screen lists everything that goes before it asks you for anything. Typing the word is deliberate: this is the one action in GymPilot that cannot be undone.
Confirm - the deletion happens immediately
Tap Delete My Account and confirm. Your account and everything in it is removed straight away and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and nothing to email us about.
Profile → Delete AccountBy email, if you cannot use the app
Use this if you have uninstalled GymPilot, cannot sign in to your account, or would rather we handled it for you. You do not need to be signed in, and you do not need the app installed.
Email us from your GymPilot address
Send your request to info@gympilotfitness.com from the same email address you use to sign in to GymPilot. This is how we confirm the request is yours.
Use the subject line "GymPilot Account Deletion Request"
Using this exact subject routes your message straight to the team that handles deletions. You do not need to explain why.
Confirm the request
We may reply to verify that you own the account before we delete anything. Once you confirm, the deletion is carried out and cannot be undone.
info@gympilotfitness.comGymPilot Account Deletion RequestWe confirm every emailed request we receive and aim to complete verified deletions within 30 days. If you have not heard from us, reply to your original email and we will follow it up. Deleting in the app is immediate and is not subject to this window.
What gets deleted

Data that may be retained
In a small number of cases we may need to keep a limited record after your account is gone. Anything retained is kept to the minimum necessary, and only for as long as the purpose below requires.
Records required by law
Where a legal, tax or accounting obligation requires us to keep a record, we keep only that record and only for as long as the obligation applies.
Security and fraud prevention
Limited technical records, such as logs of abuse or fraudulent activity, may be kept where they are needed to protect GymPilot and its users.
Purchase records held by Google Play
Payments are processed by Google Play, not by GymPilot. Your purchase and subscription history is held by Google under its own policies and is not ours to delete.
Encrypted backups, temporarily
Removing your account from the live database does not rewrite historical backups. A deleted account may remain in encrypted backup copies until they cycle out on our hosting provider's normal rotation. Backups are never used to restore an individual account.
Anonymous and aggregated data
Information that can no longer be linked back to you or your account is not personal data and may be retained.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your GymPilot account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google, not by GymPilot, so they have to be cancelled through Google Play - and they keep renewing until you do.
